Statutory Examinations Set By The General Dental Council

If you have qualified in the E.U. there is and, will be, no examination in order to register with the General Dental Council you will receive automatic registration. This automatic registration also applies to Non-E.U. graduates in eligible countries where reciprocal bi-lateral arrangements are in place until 31 December 2000.

For those dentists graduating after January 2001, it will be obligatory for all Non-European Union Nationals, or those who have qualified in dentistry to sit the International Qualifying Exam to gain entry to the UK General Dental Council.
