EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA (EEA) NATIONALS
Under European legislation you are entitled to work in the UK without a work visa. It is vital to have a good command of the English language and dental terminology.
WORK PERMIT STATUS FOR NON-EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA (EEA) MEMBERS
We are aware that there are many overseas visitors seeking both short and long term employment. We will be happy to discuss your work permit requirements via email or by telephone/fax. UK Immigration requires that those from Non-EEA countries must have a work permit in order to be employed in the UK. It is essential to obtain a permit through the British Consulate prior to leaving your own country. There are different categories for permit status, which depend upon your age and ancestry.

The sponsored work permit is your only option. It is possible to obtain a work permit through your UK employer, which means you need to have a job offer. To save time and money these permits are more easily obtained before you enter the country and are bound to that specific job. The Home Office would need to grant a new permit if you change your job, which in turn needs to be sponsored by your next employer, but there is no need to leave the country.
